Finally one of my very good friend has finally tied the knot.. Was very happy to be able to celebrate it with her. She had 3 wedding ceremonies, 1 in Australia (Sydney) and 2 in Malaysia (Penang and Kuala Lumpur). I attended the KL reception and it was in Shangri-La..

Got to meet quite a lot of my old school mates from Sri Kuala. I really enjoyed myself and only thing missing was getting the bride and the groom drunk..

Anyway, cheers to the happy couple..

Great congratulations!! Wed 13-Oct-2004 22:35

Outreach....... Bentong

Happy Campers!!
The town of Bentong

A whole bunch of us from a cell group, visited 3 native settlements in Bentong (Pahang, 1.5hrs away from Kuala Lumpur). Their living conditions was so bad, they lived in squatters which are located inside forest and jungles. We went there by 4x4 (it was really cool) and did some tracking as well. Started off at 9am, came home at about 12.15am..

The church workers really try to help these people by teaching them how to grow bananas, cocoa tress, build houses and schools (all of them are illiterate). The natives were very happy to see us and we were glad to be there too.. Candies was given and there was some coloring activities for the children.

As for food, lunch time I ate wild boar curry noodle... and dinner was held in one of the villages, which they cooked for us.. It was excellent!!!! We left the village around 10.30pm and it was pitch black hiking down to our cars (about 45 mins). One of the little girl, no older than 6yrs old, was hiking down without a torchlight and she was just strolling down like she could see in the dark.. I was amazed and she was such a cute girl.

All in all, I enjoyed the day and would love to visit them again. It was an excellent Mission Trip. Definitely encourage people to go!

Inviting isn't it..
Tall TV aerials.. to get S'pore channel

Attended a church wedding in Muar, Johor (Southern Malaysia). About 2.5 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. It was an extremely hot day. Muar is quite popular for it's food (from what I've heard) and they are infamous for their "otak otak" (spicy fish paste).. YUMMY!!!!

Normally after a wedding ceremony there will be a dinner reception but they decided to have a luncheon instead. Which was good for us.. Will have another one next Saturday..

note: I have a lot more shots but they are pretty bad, decided not to post it..

Great wedding. I like the tall TV aerial Fri 23-Jul-2004 02:22
